Look at this:
http://www.techradar.com/news/phone-and-communications/mobile-phones/htc-confirms-another-delay-to-hero-upgrade-684928
If this is true, if HTC doesn't release the 2.1 upgrade until june, I'll buy a friggin NexusOne or other brand Android phone - or even an Iphone - before shopping an HTC again... This is the definition of badwill...
And HTC have no defense. Sprint Hero and Hero CDMA-leaks have been brewn for use with the European GSM Hero for a long time now, so the only reason for not releasing it must be sales/marketing reasons, not for technical reasons - well, my responce is; I'll buy another brand next time. I'll even rather lock myself into an Iphone, at least I get upgrades...
Yeah, there you have it from an HTC lover who's on the virge of redefining HTC as a four letter word...
I have been having progressively worse 3G connectivity issues on my Hero, works great on GPRS and HSDPA but as good as dead on 3G (T-Mobile UK network). I spoke to HTC regarding this as T-Mobile weren't able to help and they told me today that the update to 2.1 was due in the next couple of weeks and that this would resolve the issue.
This has been dragging on for months and affects hundreds of users that I know of, I am for lack of any other words fuming at both HTC and the network for even allowing the phones to be continually sold when they knew abot this months ago and leaving their customers without properly working devices, it's disgusting and it won't be forgotten!
How many times are they going to delay it. This is getting very old!
Really I mean i have been waiting since freaking janurary!!! this is getting super old and i hate waiting i want to go buy a NON HTC phone
