Samsung Galaxy 'S3' coming to O2 and Vodafone

While details remain scarce about the next update to Samsung's Galaxy line, both O2 and Vodafone have revealed they will carry the handset.

Google bumps up bug bounty to $20,000

The reward Google pays to researchers who find exploitable flaws in its services has risen dramatically, from $3,133.70 to $20,000.

On Monday, the company introduced new rules for its Vulnerability Reward Program, bringing in the higher bounty but also dropping lower payments for less-sensitive security issues.

Raspberry Pi waiting list hits 250,000

In a sign of the popularity of Raspberry Pi, a quarter of a million people are on just one distributor's waiting list to buy the cheap Linux computer.

RS Components has 250,000 potential customers lined up for the ARM-based computer, the BBC said on Tuesday. Since receiving its first shipment last week, the Corby-based electronics distributor has sent out 700 of the devices, which cost less than £30.

Salaries for IT workers in the UK have risen by two percent in the past year to reach an average of £39,754, according to research by recruitment agency CV Screen.
