Internet Connection Issue... PLEASE ADVISE

I have been using broadband with an ethernet connection through a router for months happily.
Recently I configured a proxy from URL (firefox) in attempt to access university data on campus. culprit? Eitherway after resetting, LAC connects as expected, however all browsers fail to access internet. Instead try to connect to a dial up connection rather than using connected ethernet.

Also worth mention IE achieves internet connection through using wireless connection to router, however firefox does not.

Any suggestions/advice would be greatly appreciated.
