No Sound

Can anyone help please? I bought my computer last year, I have had a problem with it and I no longer have sound.
It is a Quantum Multimedia I have tried to find downlods but no is there anyone who can help

Hi Linda,

has there EVER been sound working on your system?
What speakers (if any) have you got connected to it?
What Operating system are you using (e.g. windows xp)

If using windows Go to the START menu then click "run".
Type "dxdiag" and hit enter or click ok

Under the sound tab tell me what it says for Device - Name:

It could be any number of things causing your problem from something simple like your sound being muted or requiring speakers to a missing/corrupt driver.
