'how to reset dell bios password dell latitude d620

Hi there,

Hi i have trouble reading stuff. Could u tell me how to reset dell bios password, dell latitude D620 service tag: # HPFTHC1-595B

Is there any way to reset password.

I checked the service tag and its a laptop try the following:

1. Remove part of the back panel thats easiest to get at, if you can see a cmos battery (which is just a watch battery) Take it out and then resent. Or if you see cmos jumpers.

2. If that didint work if your extremely lucky an ATX reset might do the trick (dont hold your breath though) remove battery and power source and hold down power button for 15 - 20 seconds

3. If either worked it will require specialist equipment to get to it. Try a local computer shop buts its unlikely they can do it, the only answer may be to call dell but they will want an astrinomical fee.

Or try really hard to remember it.
