We have recently released a new database product and it was recommended that we submit it to a number of known websites for review. The bulk of the websites that appear to do this type of function appear to be reseller and do not make it easy to contact the decission makers or persons responsible to perform the review. This means that until we are in the mainstream, we are not likely to attract attention - and once we are in the main stream, is it of importance to seek reviews if we are not a cell phone manufacturer?

I am not sure what you mean in you post, can you expand upon your post?

I identified 50 resellers (software) on the internet who I endeavoured to contact. They all, without exception, place cell phones and similar devices at the top of their sales priority with software appearing much lower. In the belief that their core earning are hardware generated, I can understand their logic. However, they are so focussed on what is selling, that they do not see up-coming software and new opportunities because they are only carrying the known brands of software.
