Home Server

Having a simple home server can help educate the public about wireless and mobile technology as they are often left behind with this fast growing technology. What is your opinions?

I suppose so, but you need to have something running or available on the server that the clients of the server want to view or interact with. The Home Server needs to have a purpose otherwise its nothing more than another computer. I suggest however before you marry a Home Server with your other systems that you enable as much security as you can on the wireless links. You don't want your neighbors watching your home movies or looking into your checking accounts!
