The Team provides SAP consultancy and support for leading edge Management Information solutions in support of business improvement with blue-chip clients. The candidates successfully recruited into this role will be able to: Work as a Client Support consultant providing high quality support service to a portfolio of clients on a ‘shared delivery’ basis. The consultant will operate within a support team, reporting to a Team Lead, using a common toolset (Siebel) to manage support workload. Work as part of a multidisciplinary team delivering high quality end to end project implementations and consultancy of SAP Business Intelligence solutions to our clients. Deliver work / project within tight deadlines Consult on business issues and the SAP BI Solution set to deliver lasting value to clients as part of IBM engagements Gather and define requirements as part of an SAP BI project implementation. SEM skills would also be an advantage. Develop detailed systems design and configuration including data modelling of bespoke BI and SEM objects such as info sources, info cubes, ODS objects, planning areas, planning layouts etc Use SAP Business Content, R/3 data extractors, LO Cockpit extractors Use techniques to enhance data extraction; Use query and dataloading performance-enhancing techniques; Use front end reporting tools such as Bex Analyser, BI Web Application Designer and BEx Report Designer Work with minimal supervision to produce work products in more than one phase of an SAP project. Develop and sustain positive working relationships with client management and staff during engagements Engage effectively and constructively with internal and external clients and be able to deal with complex client relationships Apply IBM and Industry standard methods and tools as appropriate to the clients needs. Demonstrate consulting skills and SAP BI expertise to support delivery to clients Coach other consulting and delivery staff contributing to their professional development Desired experience The applicant should be an experienced SAP BI consultant who has significant experience working in a large blue chip organisation and/or consulting services organisation. They will possess a background in and have in depth experience of either both or one of the following: They will have experience and knowledge of the concepts of data warehousing and data management including the use and application of ETL tools and have solid experience of SAP BI from versions 3.x to SAP BI NW2004s (SAP BI 7.0). Design and configuration experience in SAP R/3 having specialised in any of the major functional areas such as Finance and Accounting or Logistics. Also possessing a good understanding of business processes in other areas. The successful candidates are likely to: Possess a degree or have the relevant experience. Have excellent communication and negotiating skills. Have experience of working in different organizations and be able to integrate successfully into and negotiate their way around differing cultures. Be SAP trained in BI either through formal training or by experience.
