Accenture Technology Consulting is looking for IT Consultants who have expertise in the area of Workplace Technology & Collaboration (WT&C). We are currently recruiting primarily at Analyst and Consultant level. Your role will focus on IT consulting and advisory services, architecting solutions and delivering projects in the field of WT&C. WT&C covers workplace technologies (e.g. PCs, laptops, thin clients, mobile devices), workplace software (e.g. Operating systems such as XP and Vista, Active Directory, SMS, SCCM, Altiris, MSI Application Packaging) and collaboration services (e.g. Messaging solutions such as Exchange and Lotus Notes, Sharepoint, MOSS, Office Communication Server, Live Meeting, Lotus Sametime). Key Responsibilities of Analysts and Consultants include: - Working with clients in a dynamic, changing environment - Taking unstructured problems and creating solutions - Working on teams conducting technology diagnosis and assessment activities - Helping create business cases for WT&C projects - Helping produce system designs which take into account user requirements, technical requirements, architecture standards, etc. - Building WT&C infrastructure such as PC configurations and Sharepoint sites - Managing, testing and deploying WT&C solutions - Developing service implementation and transition approaches - Working on projects across a variety of industry sectors Qualifications Technical Skill Requirements: We are looking for individuals with expertise in either the Workplace or Collaboration fields: Workplace Analyst and Consultants: - Workplace Devices configuration and deployment - Client Operating Systems (e.g. Windows (XP, 2000, 2003) Linux) - Thin Client Technologies (e.g. Terminal Services, Citrix) - Application Rationalisation, Migration and Packaging / Sequencing Collaboration Analyst and Consultants: - Messaging Technologies (e.g. Microsoft Exchange, Lotus Notes) - Collaboration and End User productivity (e.g. SharePoint, Live Communications Server, Office 2007) - Unified Communications Professional Skill Requirements The required skills for this role include a proven track record in consulting and the delivery of IT Infrastructure projects within the Workplace Technology & collaboration field. Key requirements are: - Proven success in contributing to a team-oriented project environment - Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment - Desire to work in an information systems environment - Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills - Demonstrated career progression to date - 2.1 Degree or commensurate experience - All candidates must be willing to be either London or Manchester based, but offer full mobility (i.e. prepared to work away from home Monday to Friday as required) Whatever you’re doing at the moment, you could be working on bigger challenges and with more dynamic clients at Accenture.
