Highly Successful Top Tier Investment Bank is hiring a high Level Unix SA to join a team of 6 in Unix production support. You will be responsible for providing 3rd line support to the Global Unix estate & the rest of the work will be on projects. This role is more of a solution-engineering role than just a straight split between support & projects. Candidates MUST have worked in a large enterprise environment & in depth knowledge of Sun Solaris & SPARC hardware, Redhat Linux RHEL 3.0 & above, Veritas File Systems, Vol Manager & Cluster & Scripting. The ideal candidate will have worked in a similar size environment & have in-depth knowledge of both Solaris & Linux at a high level. Excellent technical knowledge gained from a senior hands on role within a global organisation is key for this role. This is an excellent opportunity for candidates to work in an environment where they are encouraged to move around into various other teams such as engineering within a short while.
