Technical Writer - Up to £30k

Our client, based in the north-west, is looking to recruit a technical Writer, is one of the worldwide leading specialists for Enterprise-wide Workforce Management solutions. With locations throughout Europe and North America, they continually strive to expand its international footprint. Our client has an excellent reputation in delivering high-performance, multi-lingual, scalable WFM solutions and is well known for its powerful multi-tier web-based system architecture. As a full service provider, they offer a comprehensive range of project-related customer services including consulting, training, custom development and support. They recently announcing a major expansion plan that will see their Software double its footprint in the city.

Role:

You will be responsible for writing, editing and publishing technical documentation along with Software Development Kit instructions, Installation Notes, Technical Guides and User manuals for their software applications. The role will also include responsibility for producing and reviewing documentation for sales and marketing, documenting internal business processes and assisting in the production of employee training manuals.

The ideal candidate will have a computing background (Degree, HND or equivalent) with excellent written and spoken English, having gained experience of technical writing and producing documentation for a commercially released enterprise level software product.

Successful candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to articulate complex technical concepts in written form and have a conceptual understanding of web technologies, relational databases and software deployed at the enterprise level. You must be able to drive improved quality of documentation to better meet external and internal customer needs and be a self-starter who is willing to work in a flexible environment and complete projects on time with minimal supervision.
