Project Officer ? 6 month contract

 Summary: 

 

To provide programme office support to designated projects, working under the guidance and direction of the Programme Manager.  Typical duties include creating and maintaining financial control and reporting documentation, providing data analysis support for project managers and assisting in the planning and tracking of projects.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

General

·         Provide financial reporting and invoicing for internal and external customers

·         Liaison with Finance department to generate financial forecasts, accruals and invoicing

·         Provide support to Programme and Project Management team on assigned projects

·         Undertake tasks as required including:

  •   Ad hoc reporting
  • Creation and maintenance of project plans and schedules in both MS Project and Clarity
  •  Production and collation of regular project reports
  •  Maintenance of Project RAID log
  •  Assist in production and distribution of required reporting and presentations to Fiserv clients
  • Track effort against agreed plans
  •  Assistance in other programme office tasks, such as change control, meeting coordination and minutes, quality assurance, etc.

  • The applicant must have excellent analytical and communication skills
  •  Advanced MS Excel skills essential, and a strong understanding of MS Project
  •  A fundamental understanding of the key principles of project management including financial control and risk mitigation. 
  • (For client projects) Must be willing to travel; the initial assignment will be based between Stockley Park , and client site in Scotland, but travel outside of the UK is also a possibility 
  •  The ability to manage customer expectations.

·         A strong grounding in the financial aspects of a project delivery.

·         Able to understand data and present in a logical  and easily understood manner

·         A good understanding of all MS Office products

·         Flexible/proactive approach.

·         Organised.

·        Able to prioritise own time to allow the above duties to take place at the same time as own other project specific duties
