Orchid Technology's first 3D card, the Fahrenheit Video 3D is based on the ubiquitous S3 ViRGE accelerator and comes with 2Mb EDO RAM as standard, at about £128 on the street.
ATI's TV Tuner card will cost from under £90. Based on the ATI Multimedia Channel that also appears in IBM, ICL and Mitsubishi Apricot systems, it can be upgraded to support hardware MPEG.
