Netscape's promised native OS/2 port for Navigator has gone into beta and is available for free downloading now at the firm's Web site. The browser supports standard Navigator features such as mail, plug-ins, frames and JavaScript, as well as Warp 4 functions including support for voice commands.
Netscape says Naviagtor is now available for 17 platforms. Microsoft has announced plans for its Internet Explorer to be available on Macintosh and Unix, but not OS/2.
