Bug reports notwithstanding, the race to push out systems based on Intel's newest and fastest chip is on.

London-based direct seller Mesh Computers was among the first off the mark with 233MHz Pentium II desktops from £1,899 + VAT for a 64Mb RAM system with 3.2Gb hard drive, 15-inch monitor, 2Mb Matrox Mystique graphics card, 16-speed CD-ROM drive and Yamaha 3D sound. The firm is "currently investigating" the possibility of Pentium II servers.
