Compaq today added some ballast to its notebook line-up with the introduction of the Armada 1598DT, a 266MHz Pentium MMX-based model.

The unit allows a hard drive, floppy drive, CD-ROM drive and integral power brick to be in the unit at the same time. 32Mb RAM (expandable to 96Mb), a 4Gb hard and a 13.3-inch TFT XGA screen are standard.
