Analyst critical of Oftel's Net cuts

Telecoms analyst Inteco is not impressed with Oftel's announcement yesterday that free ISPs can continue working with the free model.

Adam Daum, principle consultant with Inteco says: "This is a move of diplomatic brilliance by Oftel, which can portray itself as promoting competition and flexibility. In fact, by allowing them (free ISPs) to set the retail price of Internet calls, it is inviting the free ISPs to cut their own throats."
