BCC says that private email at work may become a thing of the past, thanks to the Data Protection Commission

The British Chamber of Commerce (BCC) has warned that employers may be forced to ban workers from sending personal emails to avoid legal liability in light of the draft code of practice from the Data Protection Commission.

The draft code recommends restrictions on work surveillance despite permission being granted for it by the controversial Regulation of Investigatory Powers Act. Breaking the code could result in hefty fines for companies.
