On the same day as it launches into business desktop PCs, Toshiba has released its Libretto, the much-hyped 'world's smallest PC', as part of a new mobile barrage

First published 2 June, 1997.,

Sitting midway between a handheld and subnotebook format, the Libretto 50CT is based on a 75MHz Pentium and packs 16Mb EDO RAM (upgradable to 32Mb), 810Mb hard drive, floppy drive, 1Mb graphics accelerator, 6.1-inch VGA TFT screen and 82-key keyboard. Prices start at £1,495 + VAT.
