The database company has released 45 security fixes for numerous holes in its software

Database software vendor Oracle has released a collection of patches for multiple security vulnerabilities.

The 45 security fixes cover multiple Oracle products, the company said in its advisory, released on Tuesday.

Oracle Database, Application Express, Secure Enterprise Search, Application Server, Collaboration Suite, E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft are among the products that needed patches. The patches are linked to Oracle Metalink by the advisory.

"Due to the threat posed by a successful attack, Oracle strongly recommends that fixes are applied as soon as possible," the company said.

Several vulnerabilities addressed in the Critical Patch Update affect multiple products, said Oracle. Some of the vulnerabilities allow an attacker to gain remote access.

The Oracle Database vulnerabilities relate to version 10g and earlier.
