Googles Desktop Search is absolutly nothing for me...I find it really alarming that there are programs which have such a dubious data security! I really don´t trust the google search! In this case Windows is a lot better, but also the WDS has a lot of aspect which are stressing! So it needs too much of the sytsem resources, because it is just too big! Also supports the WDS Exchange server just in cached mode, beside this I find the search and the results not very satisfying!
I work with a tool called lookeen (www.lookeen.net). After a long search and a lot trials of different tools, I definitly goning to stay with that tool! First of all a feel safe, then is it small, has great search features, is fast and works with Exchange servers in cached and uncached mode!!
To me that these companies are starting to run into to each other's propriety walls more and more, the whole thing is starting to look like a big game of Tron.
