Apple has announced that its newly launched iPad tablet will be coming to the UK soon.
On the Apple site, the company revealed the Wi-Fi-only version of the iPad will be available in the UK from March. The more expensive 3G version will follow in April.
In the US, Apple has struck a deal with mobile operator AT&T to provide two monthly data plans for the 3G iPad. While UK operators have expressed interest in the device, none has committed to carrying it.

Talkback
Like David Cameron and the general election here in the UK, it seems as if Steve Jobs has failed to seal the deal. For example, one of the things I immediately picked up on was the fact that there doesn't need to be a keyboard. Who cares? Also, it doesn't run Flash. I can see this being a problem for website pages which are quite intensive using Flash. No - I am left wondering why on earth I should wish to part with hard earnt money to be a Tablet? Like many of my colleagues, I wouldn't be keen at all It seems at best a glorified web browser, but a bit gimmicky for doing serious work. The great thing about the iPod I don't feel is the design or feel to it. It is the fact that I can use it as an iPod. I don't want to use the Tablet for anything - save for perhaps watching videos off iTunes on a long train journey. But then again I would prone to buy a DVD player for that. No in summary - it serves no function for me, and seems best suited for people who want to pose. At least the iPhone and the Mac Book Pro (I am using one at the moment to type this comment) are actually very good products.
