Your item seems to be somewhat out of date, I received XP SP3 on a cover DVD from PC Plus yesterday

Nothing new... Microsoft just doesn't support thier "end users" anymore.. just because thier new Vista "Wonder O.S." is ready to roll.. why should they care about home or small bussiness users that have XP home or Pro.. .or even 2003 server!
I have installed and used every "single" version of Windows.. even the very first version 1.01 .. and I've seen Microsoft go from bad.. to just plain worse as far as support of there operating systems. You think "at least" people would get a "major" discount for owning XP and upgrading to Vista.. but no... not from Microsoft.
I use Linux more and more as a result. Currently Ubuntu 6.06 LTS. They shipped it to me free, it didn't cost me a cent. and I have free support up years afterwards. Microsoft could learn how to do that.
