Former US secretary of state Colin Powell is a board member for maker Bloom Energy. Powell joked that he does not yet have one in his own home, but said he plans to get one installed when the snow on the East Coast melts.
Powell predicted that the Bloom energy generator could have big uses for the US military. He said that traditional generators can be heavier, less efficient and a tactical disadvantage, since their heat signatures can be detected more easily by enemy reconnaissance. However, Powell said he is not pushing development contracts with the US defence administration.

Talkback
Sounds brilliant but will it actually amount to anything? some how i just can't see this accompanying every new house/home being built even in say the next 7-10 years, although id like to see different I just can't see it happing, it will probably be killed off by that long standing enemy greed.
Have a STRONG go at destroying this.
There will be STRONG lobbying for this to be HEAVILY taxed so existing companies can keep their profits untouched.
