The expansion of Adobe's Web production tool line continues, with the launch of its LiveMotion software aimed at all you budding Web millionaires. LiveMotion lets online creative types churn out funky interactive graphics and animations -- complete with sound, interactivity etc and all of this in an object-orientated, vector-based authoring environment. The software exports to all the major graphics formats, including GIF, JPEG, PNG, Photoshop and Flash. It is also set to support the W3C's Scaleable Vector Graphics (SVG) format in the next release. Knowing its market, Adobe has made sure that its latest baby is tightly integrated with the authoring solution GoLive, Photoshop and Illustrator. This means you can place native Photoshop and Illustrator files directly into LiveMotion or open them as keyframe sequences, composite objects or as a series of independent objects. Keeping the Adobe faithful happy, it uses all the same menu and options found in similar products. LiveMotion has its very own set of content creation tools to let you create all those funky effects without needing an outside application, including vector-based and shape tools from Photoshop and Illustrator. To save you time, any combination of effects can be saved as a 'Style' and applied to other objects. Based on Adobe's After Effects, LiveMotion's Timeline feature is object-based so almost every attribute of an object can be independently animated -- letting you edit animated or static attributes at any time in the editing process. The public beta is available now from Adobe's site and the full version hits the streets in the next couple of months for around £240.
