IT Anthems: Ernst & Young Happy Day

ANALYSIS
Why did it take IT companies so long to get back to the roots of what anthems are about? If you want to inspire your people, why not (mis)use some of the most inspirational music around?

Ernst & Young has done just this, and created a whole new sub-genre: Corporate Gospel.

We are impressed with their choice of anthem, as the original Happy Day includes a lot of references to washing sins away, something which international accountants don't normally advertise as part of their services.

We are also impressed by the performance here -- the corporation has found a lady able to convert us to the Ernst & Young Gospel.

Of course, now Ernst & Young is part of Cap Gemini Ernst & Young, we wonder if everyone is singing to the same hymn sheet (or possibly time sheet).

When our time sheet allows, we will be bringing back the classic Ernst & Young hit, We're Gonna Be Number One, with its fascinating lyrics.
