Talkback
I recently purchased online a Tiny 3000-64. A couple of days after placing my order i had a phone call fron Tiny asking me to confirm my order which i did. At the end of confirming it, i was asked if i would like to also purchase the Windows XP OS on CDROM for £80 as Tiny were able to do it at a special price as part of the package if i agreed to it now. It seemed too good a deal to turn down so i agreed to buy it.
The computer arrived a week later. When i had unpacked it i found no trace of the XP disc. I duly phoned Tiny.com to ask where the missing item was only to be told Tiny did not sell Windows XP
I then went through my order over the phone with customer services only to find out that i now had a 3 year warranty costing, funnily enough, £80. I, of course asked for the £80 back.
I assured them i had never asked for or agreed to have any kind of warranty. I was told to write to the Warranty Department to cancel a warranty i had never signed up for.
They could not even give me a phone number or email adress to get in touch with the Warranty Department.
I have written but i do not expect a reply anytime soon.
Let people be warned about dealing with this company.
It may be a different company but same name, same dodgy dealers
New name, but still selling junk and taking money without delivering the goods. BBC Watchdog are onto them. See http://www.20six.co.uk/boiledorfried/archive/2005/03/01/1nvkd3dacvc87.htm
