Google confirmed on Wednesday that the company's update to Google Docs on Monday introduced bugs, including problems with uploading, printing and exporting some files.
Google said it is working on fixes for problems with multiple uploads, uploading certain file types and printing and exporting certain documents.
The bugs follow an update that brought in a number of features long requested by users, including the ability to share entire folders of documents.
On a Google technical support message board, the company acknowledged "an issue where an error message is received when uploading certain file types", and a separate issue with printing and exporting some documents.
"We discovered some latency (slow response) issues in the conversion process used in the upload and printing/export features of Docs, which caused some of the symptoms seen," a Google spokeswoman wrote in an update on the support message board. "We've made some improvements and we're still working on a complete fix."
An issue with multiple file uploads was acknowledged by Google product manager Vijay Bangaru on the official Google Docs blog.
"We temporarily removed the ability to upload multiple files. We plan to return this functionality to the docs list again very soon, so thanks for bearing with us. We will let you know once it's available again," Bangaru wrote.
Google has steadily been adding new features to Google Docs. Last month the company said it would allow published Google Docs documents to begin appearing on search engines.
The change means published documents linked to from a public website can now be crawled and indexed, meaning they can appear in search results from Google and other search engines, Google said.
