poor reporting..flaws in which realplayers? where do we get patches from? wheres a link to realplayers website to get patches? etc etc do u see my point if you tell us we need patches think things through, the questions ive asked you should be thinking of answering to us about
Well, well, well, or not so well.
So Real Player, the software download that arrives with its own fellow travellers within the download. SPYWARE.
From the earliest versions Real Player has always included various secretly installed, spyware programs. Just try typing "Real player sucks", into a search engine & see what results that you get back. I might convince you that it would be better to remove Real Player from yur PC, if you can.
Some, if not all versions can be very resistant against attempts to remove it, as on installation its infestation goes deep into the Registry & System files. You have been warned, or put another way, just a friendly warning. WMP & Apple Quicktime are not perfect, but the choice is yours!!!!!
Avoid like the plague.!
I doubt if it's anyones first choice.
I only use it to listen to the beeb.!
Have just upgraded anyway - used "custom" install to prevent changing file associations.
Despite the no's - Real still claimed AVI and MP3 and set up autoupdate and Message Centre.
WinPatrol alerted me to this - so I switched them off again - easy
If you need to disable the startups - look for realsched.exe or TkBellExe
If only the beeb would use Windows Media Player.
