Spam: Together, we can fight it

Sigh, SenderID, authentication crap and all that isn't going to help (for long). Really, people need to learn to think outside of the box. There's strenght in numbers, there's strength in diversity and there's strength in decentralization. And above all: KISS (keep it simple, stupid). It's that simple really.

The tools to kill spam already exist. For a long time even. All we really need is to get rid of all those commercial types (and people brainwashed by) with hidden agenda's messing up that what needs to be done.

As somewhat mentioned before, decentralized centralization is the key as long as it is diverse. Sounds strange? Not really.

If most ISP's and other main connection centers would mandatory install spam filters of their own choice for all inbound and outbound traffic spam would be killed within the year. Simply because of natural selection. Those solutions that work the best will survive and keep up with ever increasing demands. Diversity (because different ISP's will select different solutions) will ensure the best overall protection and quality. And no, that won't cost much because ISP's and other will save a bundle in the amount of traffic they reduce that way. Not to mention that the currently best anti-spam solutions out there are practicly free because they're Open Source.

Enough said. It's time to get cracking. We could have killed spam three years ago if we just stopped listening to hidden agenda's and instead used that what simply works.

In short. There's no commercial solution against spam. The only answer is a community effort.
