
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Lucid Lynx is slated for release later this week and arrives as the harbinger of a new look for the distribution. ZDNet UK's sister site ZDNet Australia has installed the release candidate to give you a peek.
Booting up: An updated Plymouth-based splash screen welcomes users to Lucid Lynx upon start-up — unless one is making use of an Intel-based graphics chip, in which case you get the regular Linux boot screen, but thankfully a fix is only a search engine query away.
