The Mobile Bluetooth Headset's soft styling and neat carry case give it a more gentle appearance than many a competing device, but is there substance behind the pleasing design? That's debatable: battery life is good, certainly, but this isn't the cheapest headset we've examined, and it lacks extra functions.
The Mobile Bluetooth Headset uses a boom microphone, which other manufacturers have been trying to avoid, but this one folds back to make the headset more compact when you're not using it. An unusual ear clip design is also used, which grips the ear using a sprung pincer (it's more comfortable than it sounds). In fact, despite being one of the heavier headsets available, Logitech's device doesn't feel too bad in use.
The controls are positioned toward the rear of the headset. The call button is easily found by touch alone, but the volume control rocker can be more difficult to find. You'll need to brace the headset with a couple of fingers to use the call button, but the volume controls are far enough forward not to need this.
You don't get any extra call functions with Logitech's headset, despite it supporting the headset profile. The call button answers and ends calls, and turns the headset on and off, and that's it. There's no support for voice dialling, redialling or any other functions. You can mute the headset by holding down the volume control for four seconds -- quite a delay, especially if you're driving.
Logitech claims the standby time for the Mobile Bluetooth Headset is 300 hours, the longest of any similar device we've looked at. Although the talk time of seven hours isn't quite as long as the
Plantronics M3000's claimed life of eight hours, it's pretty close and the M3000 doesn't have as long a standby time.
The Mobile Bluetooth Headset is supplied with a combined case/charger. The mains charger plugs into the case to recharge the headset's battery, but you can also use the case for protection of the headset while you're not using it. It's very sturdy, so should stand up to even quite severe knocks. However, it does also mean extra bulk to carry around if you need to recharge the headset while you're on the road.
Logitech's headset will appeal to you if you need longer standby and talk times, but the lack of support for extended functions is disappointing, especially at this higher price. The carrying case is an interesting and unique, but doesn't justify the cost of the Mobile Bluetooth Headset alone. By all means keep an eye on what Logitech does with this device (the missing functions may soon appear, for example) but for now other headsets probably deliver better value for money.

I purchased this headset three weeks ago, and have now had to purchase a Sony one due the poor design of the microphone boom. Although there is a warning in the instruction booklet to be careful when rotating the boom, there are no actual stops to prevent you moving it in the wrong direction. Hence the leads to the headset have now broken, rendering it useless.
The headset is uncomfortable if worn for more than an hour, but that could depend on the size of your ears. Moreover, when compared to other headsets in the same price range, the features are limited.

5.00 out of 10There is a major manufacture defect in this product. There is very limited mobility on the mic boom, and the boom will easily break off the base of the headset with minimum pressure. I had my headset for 2 days before the boom just came off. Logitech did not design the boom for it to pop out under any pressure so you can simply reinsert it. Instead, the base of the boom will break and is unrepairable, making the headset a $100 paper weight.
I was also extremely disappointed in Logitech for hiding behind their warranty when I called them on this issue. They had no intention on helping me with the issue and claimed that I was the first to ever call in to complain about it.
Logitech: fix the boom and your attitude on customer support and you'll have a great product.

4.00 out of 10Like with the other reviewers, I found the mike boom to be made in the most flimsy manner. By rotating too far in the wrong direction the wire breaks making the mike unusable. Logitech refuses to admit that the product is poorly designed and will not make good on their warranty if it the mike stops working. It is very easy to rotate in the wrong direction and go too far -- and then pfft!!

8.50 out of 10This is my third Bluetooth headset after Motorola's HS-810 and the Jabra 250. I absolutely love it. Here is the comparison:
Pairing: Pairing with my Sony Ericsson T610 was easy just as it was for Motorola and Jabra headsets. All three use 0000 as password for pairing so if you have done it with one, it won't be hard for any other one.
Sound Quality: Best of all: crisp and clear sound. HS-810 had the worst sound with lots of crackling and high bass breaking sound. Jabra had some crackling but Logitech is very clear with almost no crackling. I was impressed.
Microphone: Again the best, I asked listener at the other end to rate the quality of my sound. Logitech again was best with its noise cancelling microphone. Jabra was second. Motorola again wasn't the best.
Comfort: I had a conference call with each of these three phones lasting more than an hour. Jabra was little heavier than Motorola and Logitech. Jabra's speaker sticking in ear becomes uncomfortable after some time. I found Logitech most comfortable and lightest.
Battery Life: Logitech's 30 days life is beyond compare.
Price: $75 is almost 25% less than $99 Jabra and almost 40% less than $119 HS 810.
Cool Factor: IMHO HS810 is cool but too much attention grabber, Jabra is better since it hides behind your ear but I like Logitech which looks very much like a headset and I have to mention the cool case for storing Logitech headset. Very cool and safe.
I am really surprised to see that this set is not available at more outlets. I am sure that will change.

10.00 out of 10I had one for 6-8 weeks and while it was a little uncomfortable to wear for long periods, it was substantially better than my last device -- and it has awesome battery life. Unfortunately it was clipped to my belt when my 3-year-old ran to give me a hug, and the 'wishbone' screw mount snapped. Logitech declined waranty repair (which I can understand) but when I asked about buying parts, they advised none were available in New Zealand or Australia. That really upset me, and I let them know. If anyone has a broken headset that they want to send me so I can fix mine, or wants mine to fix theirs, email me and we'll negotiate some $ if required.

4.00 out of 10Bought it to use with Skype internet phone system. Using 1.1 Bluetooth dongle in USB port (which works OK with printer). It recognises the headset initially and logs it as an available device, but then seems to lose the registration as soon as I try to use it.
