Image Leeching only temp fix

Talkback I agree that tracing image leeching (where the phishing sites are linking to images on the real site) would help banks to get some phishing sites closed down. I am not too shocked at the banks lack of response.

Why is the server parsing an image file?

Talkback It seems strange that the server software would parse an image file for executable code, rather than just sending the binary data directly to the client browser.

Acronis True Image 11 Home

Blog If you're using something other than Acronis True Image Home for backups, you're probably working too hard, so you should check it out. I've been using their products for quite a few years - at least since True Image version 5 or so.

Blog Comment Why not create an image of the drive with everything installed, SP3 and all your drivers as it is now and also have a hard-drive partition utility on the hard drive so it is created within the image? Restore the image to the hard-drive.

Spammers 'using bugs' to find active email addresses

Talkback it is as simple as having an image embedded in the email. The image source is requested back to a server that tracks these request, which contain some unique identifier. This is as old as html email itslef.
