Doctors lose faith in NHS IT programme

Talkback Unless things change it's only a matter of time before doctors lose faith in IT altogether! I'm an IT engineer looking after GP networks and I am of the opinion that doctors will have many more problems until the government sort out the management...

IT megadeals mean SMEs lose out

Talkback I find this research VERY easy to believe. With respect, I am not sure that Ipswich really fits into the SME IT services supplier bracket. Ipswitch supply products that are then picked up by the big IT supply people as part of their offering.

IT megadeals mean SMEs lose out

Talkback I find this research hard to believe, and one reason could be that smaller companies who partner with the big names chosen for the mega-deals are being overlooked in such research, even though they have such an important part to play.

RE: Ubuntu Live to lose GIMP - Will it matter?

Blog Comment FatPop - Good post, lots of interesting material for thought. Here are a couple of my feelings and observations. There is no doubt that GIMP is the "poster child" of Linux/FOSS development. I don't think that automatically makes it a slam-dunk for...

Bosses may lose right to monitor without notice

Talkback Why not include enough information to let people read the bill for themselves? Sticking "SB1841" into the article somewhere should not have been a hardship. Or do you want people to take your word for what the bill actually says?

Select committee told that BT must lose local loop

Talkback BT doesn't think unbundling is a good idea? I wonder why _that_ is? All the more reason for breaking up BT Wholesal into LoopCo and NetCo as soon as possible: the less they like it, the more effective it is at increasing competition.

Sony Ericsson P910i

Sony Ericsson P910i image Member Review Compared to similar products like the i-Mate jam, it is heaven. After using it for a while, it becomes a valuable source of data and info for a mobile user. Backup for this device is brilliant where you can restore it to its full state of backup.

Windows XP Service Pack 2

Windows XP Service Pack 2 image Member Review SP2 hosed my wireless network and Internet connection even on a hard-wired-to-cable machine. Went through all the precautions and it still failed on 5 of 6 different machine installations and slowed down the 6th one.

London's Livingstone looks to Linux

Talkback From Microsoft's point of view it's a lose-lose situation: Microsoft's nightmare. In best-case, most governments will threaten to move to Linux and will demand to pay only a fraction of the license cost they did before.
