MS OS Running Your Home? Be Afraid!
Talkback I saw some of the CE show demos and was gobsmacked by the idea anyone would allow MS Windows to run a house? Not an MS way of working. MS have not the first idea of resilient integrated systems, their OS can barely hang together for a decent...

MS stays behind.
Talkback People are getting smarter and are looking beyond MS products for solutions. Microsoft started out behind and remain so. Apple innovates, Microsoft imitates. They buy up companies and claim their IP, turning it into a Microsoft product.

RE: Open Office vs. MS Office - the Other Key to Windows/Linux Transition
Blog Comment I have been using MS Word for over a decade. In fact, my version is so old, Office 1997, that I have taken advantage of the MS Office 2007 free three month trial. Jamie, I completely agree with you. I have to say that the changes to Word over a...

Another pointless "10 reasons" MS knocking article
Talkback Actually those people that ignored the press and MS knocking forums and used Vista in real life actually liked it. People are still on Vista because they got scared off Vista and MS made a mess of the launch.

RE: MS Store Trek: The Next Generation
Blog Comment There is also anti-competitive behaviour, if the MS store can accept a margin that would put other PC retailers out of business. And suddenly, MS is apparently matching that price *without* the "crapware".

MS copy?
Talkback So, anyone can write a program, and let MS use it, and MS never checks the code? Amazing. Of course, they can play the blame game. The point is, this is nothing new, but they seldom own up to it, until they get caught.

Linksys Wireless-G Internet Video Camera
Member Review This product depends on an active-x applet, and is therefore MS-Windows only. If you happen to be in a MS-Windows environment and if you do not manage the images and video yourself (e.g.place the image on a website), this can be a nice camera.

MS brand strategy is outdated
Talkback What I don't think MS understand (or at least aren't willing to admit) is that Vista slow adoption not just a technology issue it's a brand issue. It's no longer cool to like Microsoft. The era of 'telling and selling' is dead.
