SP2 to be forced out
Talkback Oh, before I forget, Longhorn is a stepping stone towards Palladium (now called NGSCB). If you think SP2 will give you problems then wait until that hits the market and everyone gets "motivated" to start using Palladium as well.

Blog The occasion was the interviewing of a Microsoft head honcho about the Palladium security initiative, and I was there as an independent voice. I've perpetrated enough brutish rants about the shortcomings and dangers of Palladium not to want to...

Microsoft stakes application future on integration
Talkback All the costumers get is a bad product (vista = DRM/Palladium for example. They try to be on every market. So why don't Microsoft try to be on a few market areas and try a little bit harder to make good software.

Telstra 'played Linux card' to lower Microsoft bills
Talkback They've just got to hang on to that monopoly until their Palladium or NGSOB or whatever they call it these days comes in and actually removes what little choice remains and forces us to use Windows to do anything.

Microsoft moves to integrate Windows with BIOS
Talkback Palladium integrated in BIOS is really one more spyware and a sort of obligation for us to use M$ products (which are really poor in quality and performance). Palladium must be stopped, nobody from us (and more and more enterprises too) does want...

Microsoft may be scoring own goal with IE plans
Talkback Which presumably is how they intend to inflict Palladium and their vision of DRM on the Internet in one fell swoop. I suppose that MS figures that since it owns 95% of the browser market, it can use that dominance to force people to upgrade to...

Blog The slightly more sane story is that of the German Ministry of Economics and Labour, which has warned that Microsoft's 'trusted computing' platform, Palladium, may be more expensive than the alternatives.

Gates 'driven by vision'
Talkback Just take a look at Vista and remove all garbage from it (DRM/ Palladium). Bill Gates is just a simple thief. Everything that Microsoft have build on have been invented somewhere else or just plain ripped off.

Why Microsoft code leak worries me
Talkback Doesn't look good for Palladium, or whatever they want to call it these days - would you trust it? I suppose the idea behind this article is alright, but fundamentally flawed. Any IT professional should know that security through obfuscation is NO...

Yes - they are - but they need not have been
Talkback The "mess" that is the Intel "TXT" (trusted execution technology) or "LaGrande", along the lines of Microsoft's "Palladium" scheme, is providing a ridiculous patch up to hardware that should not be necessary.

Microsoft can't out-cool Apple
Talkback Palladium re-named to the NGSCB (Next Generation Secure Computing Base) does not change it's real reason for existence, the protection of Microsoft's monopoly, as well as it's partners in monopoly plays, the RIAA and MPIA.
