Talkback I do like free software, but I agree that it will stall investment in the software security arena. Also as the spyware and virus writers apear to target Microsoft it may make user with only Microsoft software more vunerable to attack.

Talkback I stumbled on it while surfing, and I added it to my stable of Anti Spyware tools, such as Spysweeper,Ad Aware Professional, and A2 A Squared). It is a pretty powerful program, as it always finds spyware the others miss.

Talkback I am using the anti spyware programme and think it is usefull as a guide to what is on your computer as spyware for a quick fix.Also using mc afee security centre both are simmilar in the spyware search and seem to work well for me as for the nags...

Talkback Well, I've seen this Microsoft AntiSpyware in action. But that might be a reason why Microsoft AntiSpyware finds things that others do not. Other then that this Microsoft AntiSpyware seems no better then the more proven solutions already available...

Adobe and Symantec seek EU ban on Vista bundling

Talkback This is like MS whinging that they are not allowed to put their Antispyware software into the symantec Antivirus install software. This gives them a monopoly power on the antispyware side because it is bundled free with the antivirus.

Talkback as microsoft cant be bothered to give its antispyware to windows me users(released in just september 2000) i cant be bothered to but microsoft pcs anymore if theyre redundant after just 4 years home users have no choice but to opt for apple pcs...

Talkback The fact is, you wouldn't run into problems with viruses and antispyware (except very rarely) if you took the appropriate amount of precaution against them. The fact is, the Windows Update service is *free*.
