The Galaxy Note has a large, vibrant and responsive screen, and is a good size for using 'notepad style' with the S Pen. However, it's too large to carry around as an everyday smartphone, and isn't as useful at home or in the office as a full-sized tablet. Read more

The Elitebook 8460p is a robust, if somewhat heavy, 14in. business notebook. We don't like the keyboard design, but the matte screen is superb. We also appreciate the range of off-the-shelf configurations, and the high-quality audio subsystem. Read more

Fujitsu's Stylistic Q550 has a functional and robust design. We appreciate the removable battery, while the Infinity Lounge Windows 7 overlay has potential. However, performance is mediocre and internal storage sparse. There should also be a housing on the chassis for the stylus. Read more

The slide-out keyboard is the Android-based Eee Pad Slider SL101's key feature, and it's probably the make-or-break feature if you're considering a purchase. We'd choose the Slider's Transformer stablemate, but it's nice to have the choice. Read more
