Story: Personal finance shoot-out
I am from a company called Accountz.com, we produce home and business accounting software. It is unfortunate that Intuit have withdrawn from the market.
We have an accounting package that is suitable as a replacement for Quicken called Personal Accounts Home Edition, although it doesn't have all of Quickens bells and whistles, it is designed for speed and simplicity.
At this stage Personal Accounts won't import your Quicken files, but we will be releasing a new piece of software which will, in the near future.
We are a UK based company with online and email support. A lot of Quicken customers have moved over to us and are very happy.
There is a trial version that you can download to try it out for free.
It can be found by going to http://www.downloads.com and searching for Personal Accounts, or by going to http://www.accountz.com and clicking on the user forums and under the section Announcements you will find a link to download the trial version.
I hope this helps you a little.
