Story: Inside Intel's Pentium M/Centrino
Dear readers,
I have been using a Centrino based laptop for about a month now, and at first, I could not feel any advantage of using this technology, but lately I have found it really outnumbering the normal P4M systems. Particularly, the battery time is very good. I get past 5 hours easily on this laptop, when I dont it for playing intense 3D games or use the DVD. For normal computing, its the best technology on laptops yet. Recently, I checked the statistics of the laptop using a software, CPU-Z (http://www.cpuid.com/cpuz.php). It showed how my system inteacted with the demands of a user. I found out that everything on this system is dynamic from processor speed to bus speed, to FSB to frequency etc. I am using an Acer travelmate 291LCi-PRO, and I highly recommend it for professional and mobile users alike.
