Story: Seven Britons guilty over child porn ring
Whle child abuse, and particularly child sexual abuse is totally dispicable, and those guilty deserve to feel the full weight of the law, I feel a distinction needs to be made between actual "hands on" abuse and viewing child pornography. Because the current "witch hunt" climate has meant both actual abusers and internet porn browsers are treated as paedophiles with little distinction made. Surely there is a world of difference: The difference being thinking about committing a crime and actually committing it.
Also, considers this: Isn't it possible the UK (and other governments) would like to control the internet, and child pornography is the excuse they have been looking for.
