You are correct; I don't own My HP computer which came prefoaded with Microsoft XPHome; it's like putting a fence around a city and you can't get out. They refused to find www.fla-art org or Sshaughnessy@dos.state.fl.us which I needed info for because I am selling an original painted/blck-wht pic monies to be donated to my church. Only Enigma went to this spot. However, I did notice that on one of microsoft's pulldown windows they offered porn sites.
!) I bought this hp computer pre-installed with microsoft xp home; can I get out of this software?
2) When I chose Enigma as my default browser most of my desktop shortcuts changed (including Yahoo Mail, but Ebay, My Bank, and Paypal refused (?!) & kept Advanced Browser. So I uinstalled Advanced Browser, only to find the above 3, when selected, would only go to "print"; no browser. Somewhere in my fighting Advanced browser slipped back into the above 3 desktop shortcut sites(??!!) I questioned HP, but when I hit 'next' it would not go so my email to hp customer support never got sent. Now, when I hit my bank advanced browser sometimes takes me to ebay 2or 3 times and then flashes ebay & goes to my bank.
3) As we all know microsoft has a nasty habit of throwing me off the internet in the middle of an email, a listing on Ebay, etc. I'm not a fast typer and when i lose everything all the time..........
4)I have had the awful feeling that microsoft owns my computer, which i just bought 2/14/04. This is not acceptable; this computer has put me thru hell & caused several fights in our family; if you can help email me at golfproline@yahoo.com (put do not put in bulk mail; put Elizabeth Barnes somewhere on the subject line....I get 80+ and going up bulk mail a day so i delete it all from the outside) or call 941-544-1270 or I'll look for a live chat on your site.
5) The above is only just the tip of this iceberg; we run a business from home & xphome is just as bad as xpoffice. Maybe having an internet does invite everyone into your home, but xp/microsoft was not invited and I resent being owned by them; microsoft has become a legal hacker; instead of giving virus' they just take over the computer; they own it, but i paid for it.
