Actually you dont OWN the software, you just pay for the right to use it.
This is like watching Satellite or cable TV, you dont OWN the channels just the right to view them on a single TV set .. you can view it on other TV sets in your house but this normally involves taking out an extra subscription.
Hope this clarifies the situation.
