CD's are overpriced. If the industry expects people to stop making copies of their CD collections for themselves/others it should drastically reduce the purchase price of CD's now.
I (like many of my friends) prefer to buy genuine pre-recorded CD's from good record shops because we seek the best sound quality available on the CD format. We all begrudge paying over the odds for a CD which costs pence to manufacture.
I am also horrified that the industry wants to introduce copy protection that will degrade the sound quality or playability of audio CD's. If this happens there will be even more reason to avoid the format altogether and go back to Vinyl for good!
