Story: US lawsuit targets Toshiba notebooks
I am a US soldier in Iraq who purchased a Toshiba notebook in May of this year. At the end of July my notebook compleetly stoped working, among other problems that I had this one was not going to wait. After contacting Toshiba America I was told that a depot box would come to me to recover my broken notebook. Two months and three seperate box orders later I still have a $1400.00 paperweight and no solution. The best resolution to my problem that they could give me was to send yet another box, eventhough I was told by another employee that Toshiba "america" could not ship to APO adresses. I have been in Iraq for 7 monts and I have recieved a considerable ammount of mail, especialy from amazon, and not to metion the laptop itself that was recieved in 10 days. Whats the problem Toshiba, can't a multi-billion dollar corporation that that manufactures computers figure out the postal system? Just a little bit on the rediculous side.
