Someone needs to have the concept of "worm" explained to them.

Blaster was an effective worm because it could spread with no user intervention at all -- if a computer wasn't patched, it was likely infected last week.

This DirectX vulnerability is different. For an attack to work, a malicious file must be played. This requires some user intervention. Because of this fact, it is very unlikely to spread very far.
