You cannot go on the web on a brand new PC these days without picking these up within a couple of minutes!

I'm setting up a brand new PC for a friend...I had the worms Welchia and MS Blast hit me before I'd finished downloading the Norton Antivirus updates!
This is one of the downsides of a broadband connection, You are really open to abuse since you have a fixed IP address.
Get a good firewall installed too. I use Norton.
Normally, I have a CD with just those fixes & patches on it, but I couldn't find it...so I risked going online 'unprotected'.
Save these to a CD... it'll save a lot of heartache... Good Luck
