Story: Preventing and removing the Nachi worm

thought I would share this.
I set up a new machine, installed my dsl. internet worked for one-two minutes. then nothing, i tried everything. My other machine worked perfectly.
seems that I received the nachi worm in that minute and my port was disabled. had to place the updated virus file on my palm pilot then move it over to the new machine so i could remove it.
