The Simple thing i feel that Micro$oft never compete markete of J2EE because of it varst aviliblity of open source component markete the simple thing, people who talks about C# and VB listen one thing C# is rip of java infact they have redesigned a Java, and the people more often use VB must know their value in the markeet even in our country you will found best VB programmer in 7,000 /rs /month that is approximately 100$ /month but a best J2EE programmer difficult to seek cause people dying for easier things and childs play like VB, companies can offer upto 75000/ month that is 1000 us $ + /month
for microsoft i have one advice to compete server markeet i-e linux and the advice is very simple just open source thier windows
