This amnesty and the whole witchhunt is absurd. The recording industry is at fault for NOT KEEPING UP WITH TECHNOLOGY AND ITS CLIENTS' NEEDS. Recording labels should revamp the way they do business, go online and offer clients who prefer to do business via e-commerce the option to LEGALLY PURCHASE TRACKS tracks over the net rather than via CDs or tapes. This could be via MP3 files or WMA or other accepted formats. Why sue people who exchange tracks through online music-sharing programs and let Joe Blow tape the same tracks from radio stations onto cassette tapes?!? It's essentially the same thing, the only difference is the media used to carry out the deed!!!
